EDWARD NORTON AS DR. BRUCE BANNER
Edward Norton is a talented actor, screenwriter, producer and director. He has been nominated twice for an Academy Award for his acting. The first time was in 1996 for Best Supporting Actor in "Primal Fear" and the second time was in 1997 for Best Leading Actor for "American History X". Norton is also a fan of the Hulk, especially of the character's first comic appearances, the 1970s "The Incredible Hulk" live-action television series, and the Bruce Jones run of "The Incredible Hulk" comic series as his favorite depictions. Norton was originally offered the role of Bruce Banner for the 2003 "Hulk" movie, but turned it down. After signing on to star in the 2008 reboot movie, Norton also re-wrote the final draft of "The Incredible Hulk", but his work was uncredited. His screen credits include "Everyone Says I Love You", "Fight Club", "The Italian Job", and "The Illusionist". His producer credits include "The 25th Hour" and "Pride and Glory", and he also directed the movie "Keeping the Faith".
LIV TYLER AS DR. ELIZABETH "BETTY" ROSS
Liv Tyler is the daughter of Steven Tyler (the lead singer of the band Aerosmith) and singer Bebe Buell. A talented and beautiful actress, at age 14, Tyler started off as a model, but gave up her modelling career to become an actress. After appearing in the Aerosmith music video "Crazy", she made her film debut in 1994 in the movie "Silent Fall". Tyler is a known fan of the live-action TV series "The Incredible Hulk", and she signed on to appear in the 2008 film a day after being approached, and she hadn't even read the script. In 1997, she appeared in the film "Inventing the Abbotts" with Jennifer Connelly. Ironically, Connelly would play Betty Ross in the 2003 film "Hulk" and Tyler would replace her as Betty in the 2008 reboot film. She is perhaps best known for her role as the elf princess Arwen in the mega-successful "The Lord of the Rings" film trilogy. Tyler's film credits include "Empire Records", "Stealing Beauty", "That Thing You Do!", "Armageddon", and "The Strangers".
TIM ROTH AS EMIL BLONSKY
Born Timothy Smith in London, he adopted the surname Roth after World War II to hide his nationality. Although he originally wanted to be a sculptor, Roth turned his attention to acting and made his debut at age 21 in the TV movie, "Made in Britain". In 1984, he earned a Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Newcomer for his performance in Stephen Frears' "The Hit", which also featured Terence Stamp and John Hurt. After appearing in several other projects, his work impressed director Quentin Tarantino and Roth was hired to appear as Mr. Orange in Tarantino's 1992 film "Reservoir Dogs". Roth and Tarantino would work together in other films, including "Pulp Fiction" and "Four Rooms". In 1995, Roth would appear opposite Liam Neeson in "Rob Roy" as the villainous English nobleman Archibald Cunningham. Roth's performance in "Rob Roy" earned him a British Academy Award, as well as an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe nomination. In 1999, Roth directed the film "The War Zone", which won several awards. Roth's other acting credits include "Planet of the Apes", "Dark Water", and "Even Money".
WILLIAM HURT AS GENERAL THADDEUS "THUNDERBOLT" ROSS
William Hurt is a talented actor who originally studied theology at Tufts University before setting his sights on acting. He studied alongside the late, great Christopher Reeve at the Juiliard Drama School and first appeared on stage. His first major acting role in the 1980 sci-fi film "Altered States" as obsessed scientist Professor Edward Jessup, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. Hurt won the Best Male Performance Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Leading Actor in the 1985 film "Kiss of the Spider-Woman". His film credits include "The Big Chill", "The Accidental Tourist", "Lost in Space", "Dark City", "A History of Violence" and "Into the Wild".
TY BURRELL AS DR. LEONARD SAMSON
Ty Burrell is a film actor, TV actor and has appeared on stage. His stage work includes writing and working in the off-Broadway play "Babble" with his brother, Duncan. Burrell's film credits include "Black Hawk Down", the 2004 remake "Dawn of the Dead", and "National Treasure: Book of Secrets". He has also appeared on various television series, most notably as plastic surgeon Oliver Barnes on the CBS series "Out of Practice" and as a field reporter on the Fox series "Back to You".
TIM BLAKE NELSON AS DR. SAMUEL STERNS
Tim Blake Nelson is a talented actor, director and writer. Nelson has appeared in such films as "Minority Report", "Holes" and the HBO film "Warm Springs", which garnered critical acclaim. Nelson is also the writer/director of the film "The Dead Zone" and the director of "O", adapted from William Shakespeare's "Othello" though taking place in modern-day high school.
LOU FERRIGNO AS THE VOICE OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Lou Ferrigno is a bodybuilder and actor, and at 6' 5", a very big bodybuilder and actor. At age three, Ferrigno lost 80% of his hearing due to an ear infection. Ferrigno has said that the loss of his hearing was influential to his bodybuilding career and that it forced him to "maximize my own potential". Ferrigno started weight training at age 13. Ferrigno won the bodybuilding titles of IFBB Mr. America and Mr. Universe in 1969 and 1973, respectively. He tried twice to win the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition, but ranked second in 1974 and third in 1975. His second attempt in 1975 was part of the Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary "Pumping Iron". Ironically, he beat his Austrian rival Schwarzenegger for his best-known acting role, "The Incredible Hulk", when the producers thought Schwarzenegger's 6' 2" height was too short for the 7' 6" Hulk. Ferrigno admitted that the Hulk was one of his childhood heroes, with Spider-Man being the other, and he would play the character for five seasons on the live-action CBS "The Incredible Hulk" television series. He would reprise the role for three telefilms, two seasons of the 1990s "The Incredible Hulk" animated series on the U.P.N. network, and the 2008 movie. He would also cameo for both Hulk movies in 2003 and 2008, both times playing a Security Guard. Ferrigno's other notable TV role was as a recurring guest-star on "The King of Queens", where he played himself. His wife of 28 years, Carla, also appeared on the series as herself. Mr. Ferrigno currently continues daily training and sells his own equipment through his company, Ferrigno Fitness.
